Spread a blanket and dine on the lawn–yes, it's okay!

Bring your own picnic or purchase delicious barbecued hotdogs and burgers from Wave Hill exclusive caterer Great Performances (sunny skies permitting). .

Hours

Grounds open until 8:30PM.    

Food service and The Shop at Wave Hill open until 8PM; 15% discount for Members and their accompanied guests.

Glyndor Gallery open until 8PM.

Parking

Free on-site parking after 6PM; space is limited. Free offsite parking with shuttle service to and from our front gate.

Extended Shuttle Service
For these special picnic evenings, we have extended shuttle service to and from Metro-North's Riverdale station, and the end of the #1 subway at West 242nd Street, in front of the Burger King. The shuttle meets #1 Train at 5:10, 5:40, 6:10, 6:40, 7:10 and 7:40pm, and returns visitors to the subway at 6:05, 7:05, 8:05 and 8:30pm from Wave Hill's Front Gate. The shuttle meets Metro-Morth trains arriving in the Riverdale station at 5:20, 5:48, 6:10, 6:29, 6:52 and 7:20pm. It will leave Wave Hill's Front Gate at 7:20 and 8:20pm to take passengers travelling on southbound trains departing the Riverdale station at 7:36 and 8:36pm.
