Come summer, you want to be where cool breezes blow off the river, sipping a tall glass of something cool. It’s heaven. Or is it Wave Hill? Venture here any Wednesday evening in July and August. Want to add some structure to your visit? Try an outdoor yoga class, a guided garden walk or wander onto the Great Lawn to enjoy a plein air performance by local BxIndie musicians, through the Bronx Council on the Arts. New this year, you can bring your own folding chair and enjoy the concert from the comfort of your own favorite seat. Don’t worry about packing dinner: Wave Hill exclusive caterer Great Performances is on hand with plenty of supper choices.

Enjoy Tending toward the Untamed: Artists Inspired by the WIld Garden, as well as the Sunroom Project Space installations by Wave Hill's Van Lier Visual Artist Fellows Nova Jiang and Cameron Rowland.

Food Service

Great Performances provides grilled burgers and veggie burgers, hot dogs, farm-fresh salads, soups and sandwiches, corn off the grill, homemade beet chips and other healthy snacks and plenty of refreshing drinks, including strawberry lemonade, wine and beer.

Getting to Wave Hill:

Free shuttle service to and from Metro-North's Riverdale station and the #1 subway at W. 242nd Street available.
