Winter Workspace Program

Winter Workspace Program
January 4—March 21, 2010
Open Studios will be held on February 28 and March 21.

While Glyndor Gallery is closed this winter, it will be transformed into an artist workspace for seven visual artists to develop new work or pursue a particular project using Wave Hill’s exceptional garden and woodland settings as a source conductive to the creative process. With a winter focus on the Hudson River, the artists will engage with ideas about the river. The artists selected include Susan Benarcik, Liz Burrow, Kent Henricksen , Robyn Love, Rita MacDonald, Eve Mosher and Anne-Katrin Spiess.

March 5-April 18, 2010
On display at Wave Hill House are over 40 hats created by Wave Hill visitors as part of Robyn Love’s project. Twice a week in January and February, Robyn opened her Winter Workspace studio to the public to card, spin, and knit wool that Robyn dyed using natural materials. 50 skeins were created and given to visitors to knit or felt a hat that would be exhibited here.
