Wave Hill’s gardens and grounds offer an incomparable site to explore the idea of enchantment, both good and evil. In calling forth the spirits of the woods and gardens, some artists draw on their childhood memories, others are inspired by specific fairy tales. Several works create contemplative places within the house to reflect on nature’s transience. Five outdoor artworks sited on the lawn and along the path in the Herbert and Hyonja Abrons Woodland, lure visitors into the woods to glimpse nature’s enchantments. Ed Bisese, Helene Brandt, Sharon M. Louden, Alice Momm, and Karl Unnasch have created new works on the grounds. Artists exhibiting in the gallery are Zigi Ben-Haim, Ann Chahbandour, Angiola Churchill, Beth Galston, Chitra Ganesh, Julie Heffernan, Robert Kalka, Bob Keating, Kim Keever, K.K. Kozik, Paul Etienne Lincoln, and Holly Sears.
