Eva Sutton’s deceptively simple, interactive digital piece encourages visitors to create a hybrid by using the mouse on the pedestal to shift the head, body or tail. The work is presented on the wall with an ornate frame, and has the appearance of an odd 19th century illustration. A computer programmer and systems analyst, as well as artist, Sutton is interested in engaging the porous boundaries between the synthetic and the natural.  In a humorous way, she offers us a glimpse of the potentially monstrous possibilities of hybridization.  www.pbs.org/wnet/egg/205/sutton/index.html
