| Mixing
plants and animals, Keith Yurdana grafts plant material with animal
skin resulting in objects that hover between scientific and grotesque.
In blending the anatomies of different species, Yurdana starts with
the original element and its function in nature. In Irrigation
Methods, (Flora Grafts 34 + 35) roots become the skeleton and
the circulatory system for these hybrid forms that are sheathed
in meticulously applied animal skin. Botanical appendages protrude
from various points to give each graft unique characteristics, and
appear to be anomalies or mutations with a mysterious purpose.
