Huang's installation begins in the central gallery and
extends to the terrace lawn, creating a distinct relationship
between inside and outside. Hundreds of oval mirrors,
ranging in diameter from 1' to 4', some etched with
images of ears, eyes, and noses as well as code-line
letters and numbers, are suspended from the ceiling.
These reflect bits of the room, the trees, the changing
light, and people passing through the space. On the
lawn, the mirrors hover horizontally above the grass
in pond-like configurations, reflecting the changing
color of the sky. These are etched with simple words
related to nature.
