| A California native, Amber Mahler was introduced to the art of setting found objects and stones, enameling and the lost art of wax casting at Penland School of Crafts in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. The perfect repeating patterns and intelligent shapes found in nature inspired her to begin creating a seasonal couture series of cast botanica using seedpods, buds and branches, which are lost wax cast silver and gold originals of natural materials she collects on walks through the woods. |
