| Quintet of the Americas presents a performance of the Mannahatta Project, inspired by New York’s natural history. The program includes Christopher Kaufman’s Hudson Valley Quintet, a multi-media piece for woodwind quintet with prerecorded sounds and images, Robert Deemer’s Mannahatta Windows and Hollywood film composer Stuart Balcomb’s Ellis Island. The Quintet is performing the Mannahatta Project this spring in all five boroughs; Wave Hill will be the only Bronx location. Free, and admission to the grounds is free until 2PM. |
