| Join naturalist Gabriel Willow and artist George Trakas for an introduction to the plants and animals who have come back to the area. George Trakas designed and built this Nature Walk as part of the Water Pollution Control plant, exploring the creek’s evolution from its use by Lenape inhabitants, to the thriving cooperage, shipmaking and lumber industries of 18th and 19th century Greenpoint. Participants are invited to return to Wave Hill Sunday, November 21, for a curator-led tour of Remediate/Re-vision, which includes George Trakas’ project. |
