Exploring all Wave Hill has to offer, interns will learn about contemporary art and garden design in order to lead guided tours, engaging discussions and informative demonstrations for Wave Hill's visitors.  Students gain practical skills and an exciting educational perspective, as well as the opportunity to experience various career paths through active involvement with Wave Hill staff, working artists and curators.  Interns also have the opportunity to visit other cultural institutions.

Requirements

Students must be entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade in September 2008

Dates/Days/Hours

July 9 through August 22, 2008 Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and one weekend day.

10am–4:30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday

10:30am-4:30pm Saturday or Sunday

Wages

First-time interns: $7.15/hr

Returning internss: $7.40/hr

Intern leaders: $8.10/hr
