Camp Groups

Summer Programs

Give your campers an extraordinary opportunity to explore the marvels of the natural world!

Bring your campers to Wave Hill to explore nature in an unparalleled outdoor setting. Enjoy an hour of fun, creative, action-packed adventure led by Wave Hill educators. Programs for camp groups at Wave Hill are held outdoors only. In case of severe inclement weather, every attempt will be made to reschedule your program.

Love of Trees

Explore Wave Hill’s glorious grounds to investigate its collection of stately woody trees and native woodlands. Learn about the parts of trees and how they help trees live and grow. Play a fun game that reinforces learning, fosters cooperation and builds team spirit.

Birds in the Garden

Take in the beautiful views from Wave Hill and imagine yourself flying high over the Hudson River. Use binoculars to look for and identify local and migratory birds. The experience wraps up with a bird-call game that shows how birds use calls to find their flock.

Flowers to Buzz About

Explore the magnificent gardens and observe the symbiotic relationship between flowers and the bees that pollinate them. “Buzz” around the beautiful blossoms and “fly” to the hives to learn the importance of bees to flowers and discover how honey is made. Follow up with a Bee Relay Race all about bee communication and have a honey of a good time.
