Spread a blanket and dine on the lawn, on the only days year-round when visitors may bring blankets and picnic on the grounds. Wave Hill Members ONLY and their accompanied guests.
Enjoy the gardens in the company of family and friends. The Café and the Wave Hill Shop will be open until 8:30pm. Members receive a 20% discount on all purchases in the Wave Hill Shop on all three Members Picnic evenings. The Gallery will be open until 8pm; a guided gallery tour of In Response: Summer Projects takes place at 7pm. Parking is free onsite after 6pm on each Members Picnic evening. To accommodate overflow parking, continuous, free shuttle service is available between the front gate and an offsite lot nearby. See below for information about the shuttle van that will pick up and return visitors traveling to Wave Hill by way of Metro North or the #1 subway.

Orders for boxed dinners must be reserved no later than 4pm the Monday prior to each picnic.

Shuttle Schedule
Shuttles meet northbound Metro-North trains at the Riverdale Station at 6:08pm, 6:28pm, 6:52pm and 7:19pm. It returns to Metro-North departing from the Wave Hill gate at 7:25pm and 8:25pm.
Shuttles meet the #1 Subway at W. 242nd Street in front of the Burger King at 6:10pm and 7:10pm. It returns to the #1 Subway departing from the Wave Hill gate at 7pm, 8pm and 8:45pm.
