Guidelines For Your Visit
To ensure the safety of our visitors, gardens and plant collection, and to enable all visitors to enjoy the gardens, please follow these rules:

Visit the Wave Hill Café for a light meal or refreshments (Café food only), or a picnic in the Picnic Area next to Glyndor House. Food is not permitted outside these areas.

So that others may enjoy the Picnic Area, we ask that you limit your organized gatherings to two tables.

To protect our lawns and other garden areas, please use only Wave Hill benches and chairs. No blankets, please!

Please do not climb trees, pick flowers or take plant material.

We welcome your trained guide dog, but ask that other pets be left home.

Let’s all appreciate the quiet: Please use headphones with your radio, CD player or cellphone.

Enjoy the gardens and lawns, but please leave your ball, rollerblades, kite and Frisbee at home. We encourage you to bicycle to Wave Hill, where you can find bike racks near the Front Gate. Bicycles and tricycles are not allowed beyond the parking lot.

Photography and video recording are permitted at Wave Hill for private use only. Wedding shoots require written permission and may also require a fee. Inquire for written permission and fees required for commercial photography.

Tripods or easels may be used on the grounds, except in the Flower Garden, Wild Garden, Greenhouses, Dry & Herb Gardens and Alpine House.
