Guided Group Tours
Wave Hill offers guided tours of the gardens and of art exhibitions in Glyndor Gallery. Each tour lasts approximately one hour and costs $10 for adults and $8 for seniors 65+ and students, including admission to the grounds.
A combined tour of both gallery and gardens is also offered. The combined tour lasts two hours, and costs $16 for adults and $14 for seniors 65+ and students, including admission to the grounds. Reservations are required. |

Garden Tours
Reserve an in-depth tour of seasonal garden highlights, led by experienced guides. Tours take place Wednesday through Friday, rain or shine, and last approximately one hour. Minimum of 12 individuals; maximum of 50 people.
Gallery Tours
Exhibition interpreters offer insightful tours highlighting the contemporary artwork in Glyndor Gallery, and on the grounds when exhibitions extend outdoors. Tours take place on Wednesday and Friday, rain or shine, and last approximately one hour. Minimum of 5 individuals; maximum of 25.
Combined Garden & Gallery Tours
Combined tours are offered on Wednesdays and Fridays, by reservation, and last two hours. Minimum of 12 people; maximum of 50.
Participants in guided group tours enjoy a 10% discount in the Wave Hill Shop, located in the Perkins Visitor Center.
Schedule a Tour
Reservations should be made at least 14 days in advance of the desired tour date, and are based on availability. Group reservations and dates will be confirmed only after receipt of deposit. Free Tours
Free garden tours begin at 2:15pm on Sundays at the Perkins Visitor Center.
Free gallery tours begin at 12 noon on Thursdays in Glyndor Gallery and at 2:15pm on Saturdays.
Self-Guided Tours
Groups may also tour Wave Hill’s gardens on their own. Although there is no extra charge for self-guided tours, reservations for groups must be made in advance. Tours are allowed on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Maximum of 50 people.
Tours are conducted rain or shine, so please dress for the weather.
Accessibility
The gardens and gallery can accommodate wheelchairs with some restrictions. Wheelchairs are available at the Front Gate, Perkins Visitor Center and at Wave Hill House.
Parking
Onsite parking is limited. We encourage groups to travel by coach, van service, car pool or public transportation. Wave Hill provides free shuttle van service to and from the Metro-North railroad (Riverdale Station) and the terminus of the #1 subway line at W. 242nd Street. More about the shuttle schedule and pick-up and drop-off points. Directions to Wave Hill, and directions for commercial vehicles. Tour groups are limited to three parking spaces onsite at the rate of $8 per space, or three free spaces in an offsite lot nearby. Parking arrangements must be made at the time of the registration.
Directions
Because onsite parking is limited, large groups are expected to travel using coach or van service.
