Con Edison STEM Days Out

Con Edison’s STEM Days Out is an initiative connecting middle school-age children with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education. Con Edison’s STEM Days Out programs are FREE and open to all New York City and Westchester public school middle school classes, and are available on a first-come, first-served basis on select days throughout the school year.

Urban Forest Ecology: Coyotes in New York, a two-hour, hands-on program, explores the ecology of NYC’s natural areas through the lens of the ecological niche and movement patterns of coyotes. Using map and site exploration, students collect and analyze data from Wave Hill's own urban forest to learn about the ecological factors that influence coyote behavior, including migration.
