Can you tell a catbird from a cowbird? New and experienced birders are invited to join expert birder and urban ecologist Gabriel Willow to discover the many groups of birds that call NYC their home. Through images and a short lecture, Gabriel shares proven techniques to simplify bird identification using visual and audible clues. Ages 10 and older welcome with an adult.

In addition to his passion for birds, Gabriel Willow is also an environmental educator and ecological tour guide in New York City, designing curricula, school programs and science content as the Science and Learning Specialist for The WildLab, a citizen science and technology program. He was the Senior Naturalist at the Prospect ParkAudubon Center in Brooklyn for several years.

Free with admission to the grounds. Registration recommended, online by calling 718.549.3200 x305 or at the Perkins Visitor Center. (NYC Audubon Members enjoy two-for-one admission.)
