Concert: The Rhythm Method

Wave Hill House

WATCH

The Rhythm Method presents its program “Hidden Mothers,” featuring quartets by Amanda Maier-Roentgen, Florence Price, Amy Beach and Elizabeth Maconchy, as well as a contemporary reimagining of a suffragette anthem by the quartet’s violinist Leah Asher. Utilizing an unknown wealth of quartet repertoire written by women in the 19th and early 20th centuries, the quartet has found countless other fragments, unfinished works, and pieces for other instrumentations that they have adapted into new works for the ensemble. Concerts begin at 2PM and last approximately one hour with no intermission.
