Family Art Project: Bundle Dyeing and Hapa Zome
Wave Hill House
Join visiting artist Natalie Stopka to create botanical works of art featuring common herbs and garden flowers—like marigolds, coreopsis and hollyhock. We’ll practice the technique of hapa zome, also known as plant pounding, and then bundle-dye silk handkerchiefs using simple, ecologically friendly processes and aroma-therapeutic ways to explore botanical color.
Free, and admission to the grounds is free until noon.
