A public garden & cultural center

Meet the Artist: Priyanka Dasgupta and Chad Marshall

Glyndor Gallery

Join us for a participatory event and discussion in the Sunroom with artists Priyanka Dasgupta & Chad Marshall and Curator of Visual Arts Eileen Jeng Lynch. In Dasgupta and Marshall’s installation Paradise, they use a gated, paradisal formal garden as a metaphor for exposing the discrepancies in U.S. immigration policies and addressing issues of identity and privilege. The artists will apply images and texts to the concrete wall, sharing stories of conflicts encountered by DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) recipients and other immigrants. Visitors are welcome to participate.
