Valentine’s Day High Tea & Conservatory Tour
Wave Hill House & On the Grounds
What could be more engaging about Wave Hill than the thought of Mark Twain in his sixties, entertaining guests in his tree house on the conifer slope and writing sweet love letters to his wife Livy?
This Valentine’s weekend, invite a loved one to share a specially curated high tea in what was once Mark Twain’s study at Wave Hill House. Your romantic afternoon begins in this stately Victorian parlor, followed by a intimate guided tour of the Conservatory including a lively discussion on the love language of flowers.
As a special treat, the event includes a reading of the actual love notes Twain wrote to his wife Livy when they lived here over 100 years ago. The reading will be performed by a couple who recently celebrated their love by getting married here at Wave Hill.
All Valentine’s couples receive a special gift of 10% off in The Shop at Wave Hill with a stunning selection of unique and thoughtful gifts to choose from. Start a new tradition this Valentine’s Day with this singular ode to love, only an afternoon at Wave Hill could offer.
$170 per couple; Wave Hill Members save 10%. Advance registration required online. Space is limited. Registration for this event closes at noon on Wednesday, February 12.
