Wave Hill welcomes group visits and tours of our beautiful grounds year-round. Often called "one of the greatest living works of art," Wave Hill is a spectacular public garden and cultural center overlooking the majestic Hudson River and Palisades, in the Riverdale section of the Bronx.
Through its renowned gardens and programs in horticulture, education and the arts, Wave Hill is dedicated to exploring human connections to the natural world.

Guided Garden Highlights Tour
Reserve your tour of our vibrant, yet intimate, 28-acre site led by an experienced Garden Guide. Primarily focused on seasonal highlights, this tour provides an overview of our extensive collection of rare and unusual plants, carefully cultivated into 13 designed garden areas, along with a general history of the property. From the first, awe-inspiring view at the Great Lawn and Pergola Overlook, the ever-changing display of flowers, shrubs and trees will create lasting memories for your group. Guided Art Gallery Tour
Join a Curatorial Fellow on an insightful tour of cutting-edge contemporary artwork in Glyndor Gallery and the Sunroom Project Space. Showcasing the work of both established and emerging artists in a unique environment, exhibitions explore the dynamic relationship between nature, culture and site. This tour always provides a compelling experience.
Tour length: approximately 30–45 minutes
Discover the fascinating history of Wave Hill, a former country estate with a distinguished pedigree. A Wave Hill History Guide will provide a tour through our historic buildings and landscape. Hear about the people who once called Wave Hill home, among them Mark Twain, Theodore Roosevelt and Arturo Toscanini, and learn how the illustrious gardens have evolved over the years.

Guided Gardens in Winter Tour (DEC−MAR)
Join a Wave Hill Garden Guide and explore plants with intriguing winter characteristics, such as evergreen foliage, colorful bark, persistent fruit and unusual growth habits. Visit the Conservatory with its lush Tropical House, arid Cactus and Succulent House and fragrant Palm House. Include a satisfying lunch or hot cup of tea as you savor the peaceful splendor of Wave Hill in winter.
Tour length: approximately one hour
Choose any two of our guided-tour options, add a sumptuous lunch to the day's schedule and treat your group to a relaxed, inspiring experience!
Wave Hill welcomes groups interested in a self-guided tour. Enjoy the gardens, grounds and buildings at your own pace. Maps and guides are available to help you discover the endless beauty that is Wave Hill. Organized groups must reserve in advance for a self-guided visit.
Pricing: Regular admisision fees apply
PRICING & RESERVATIONS
• Single Guided Tour: $15 per person
• Combination Guided Tour: $25 per person
• Pricing for group tours is based on a 10-person minimum.
• Groups of less than 10 visitors will pay a flat fee of $150 for a single tour, and $250 for a combination tour.
• Groups of 10 or more are welcome every day with a reservation.
• Groups requesting a guided tour should reserve a minimum of three weeks in advance.
• Groups planning on a self-guided visit should reserve their date at least one week in advance.
• For all tours, a non- refundable deposit of $50 is required to secure your group's reservation.
• Group visits take place rain or shine.
