An urban oasis, Wave Hill’s 28 acres sit high above the Hudson River with sweeping views and lots of open sky--an enchanting surprise for all the senses. Here nature is the springboard for workshops and walks, talks, contemporary art, live performances and more--there is always something to make, to learn or simply experience, each moment circling back to Wave Hill’s serene setting, inviting us to connect to nature in myriad ways.

Discover Wave Hill

Find out all there is to do at Wave Hill—from exploring the multiple gardens and woodlands within its 28 acres, to environmental programs, hands-on workshops, art exhibitions and cutting-edge performing arts presentations. Video by Rob Featherstone

Founding head gardener Marco Polo Stufano's first intention was for Wave Hill to be a beautiful respite for the people of the city. Now it's visited by people from all over the world.

Restore: The Healing Powers of Wave Hill

Visitors often comment on Wave Hill's restorative qualities. We hear from two friends of the garden who talk about coming to Wave Hill specifically to heal and rejuvenate. We also hear from a horticultural therapist, an outdoor meditation teacher and guide, and one of Wave Hill's own gardeners about the healing powers of this beautiful place. Video by Rob Featherstone
