Volunteer

Give of Your Time and Talent

We are delighted to be able to welcome back volunteer recruiting after a long, Covid-induced hiatus.

Volunteering at Wave Hill is a rich and rewarding experience. Volunteers offer vital support to our gardens and programs by lending their time and talents. Volunteers also form a strong network and community at Wave Hill, helping our garden culture to grow. Volunteer opportunities are listed here as they become available.

To Apply

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Wave Hill. Please fill out the Volunteer Application and email it to the address below. One of our support staff will reach out to you once they have received the form. You may also fill out or drop off a hard copy of the form at Wave Hill.

Volunteer Garden Guides

This spring, we are especially interested in recruiting Volunteer Garden Guides. Our Guides lead personalized walks and tours for visitors highlighting garden areas, history and the artistry of the Wave Hill gardens. In this active and visible role, Guides enhance the appreciation and enjoyment of the gardens for visitors by sharing information as well as their own stories or experiences. New guides work with a mentor until they are ready to lead walks/tours on their own.

Those interested must be able to attend initial training/orientation. This year, they take place on four Wednesdays in June: June 8, 15, 22, 29, 2022.
