On the grounds
The gardens await you for a full day of outdoor painting, with magnificent Hudson River views and lush blooms as your subject. Begin the day with a watercolor demo with workshop instructor Wennie Huang, then spend the rest of the day painting, mingling with fellow artists and enjoying Wave Hill’s colorful spring gardens. Participants receive gentle feedback throughout the session and a friendly group critique at the end. Registration fee includes early access to the grounds, swag, raffle tickets and a "playbook" of activities for the day. Bring your own lunch to enjoy in a reserved space in the picnic area or buy lunch at The Cafe. Participants must bring their own watercolor supplies, but easels may be reserved upon registration. Rain date, Sunday, June 11.

Wennie Huang
Wennie Huang
Mixed-media artist Wennie Huang, PSA, produces works that range from small drawings and limited-edition books and projects to site-specific installations. For over a decade, Wennie has led Wave Hill art workshops in pastel, watercolor and mixed media, and even a book-making workshop for children. Huang currently teaches at Parsons School for Design, 92nd Street Y, and the Pastel Society of America (PSA), where she is a Signature Member.
