Family Art Project: Digging into the Soil Science of George Washington Carver

In honor of Black History Month, we’re learning about George Washington Carver, a black scientist who faced many challenges. Find out how soil affects the food we eat by making colorful still-life creations using some of the same things Carver studied, like dirt and dried beans.
At 11:30AM families can enjoy a themed storytime program in the Gund Theater. All ages welcome. We will be honoring Black History Month with a reading of the book I Am Enough by Grace Byers.
Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
