Awaken mind, body and senses on a forest-bathing walk through the winter garden, with certified nature therapy guides Cindy Olsen and Fru Molnar. Walks follow a route along mixed-material pathways with varying elevations. Participants will be outdoors and moving around the gardens for most of the time. The event will conclude in an indoor space that is very large and open on the first floor of the building, with seating on the floor, or on chairs provided.
Fru Molnar (she/her) is the founder of Forest Baths, a lifelong student of the forest, and a Certified Forest Therapy Guide with Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides (ANFT). Based in Peekskill, NY (Lenapehoking), she leads immersive forest therapy experiences throughout the lower Hudson Valley and facilitates forest bathing sessions virtually. A passionate advocate of mindfulness in nature as the ultimate form of self-care, she is an avid hiker and the mom of two rescue pets, who are her own personal nature therapy guides. She believes that forest bathing is for everybody and that we are all welcome in the arms of mother nature.
Cindy Olsen is the founder of Cindy By Nature, LLC. which offers award-winning mindful nature programs throughout the region. She is certified through the Kripalu School of Mindful Outdoor Leadership, the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy and Mindful Schools. She has been an environmental educator since 2012 and is a New York Master Naturalist in training through Cornell. She is a meditation teacher with Pause To Be Present Meditation. Cindy is passionate about sharing the powerful physical and mental benefits of nature and mindfulness with others.
