Heidi Latsky Dance: ON DISPLAY
When
Where
Great Lawn; Rain location: Wave Hill House

During the Celebrate! Arts in the Garden weekend (September 20 and 21), Wave Hill will present an outdoor performance by Heidi Latsky Dance, a physically integrated dance company dedicated to the creation of relevant, immersive performance art that is accessible to all. Heidi Latsky Dance aims to disrupt space and redefine beauty and virtuosity through innovative performance and discourse.
Heidi Latsky Dance will perform a one-hour version of ON DISPLAY with 15 dancers, adapting the piece to make it site-specific to Wave Hill’s grounds. ON DISPLAY is a durational work, a deconstructed performance exhibit, and commentary on the body as spectacle and society's obsession with body image. Heidi Latsky’s response to the stigma attached to difference, ON DISPLAY turns a cast of diverse and extreme bodies into a sculpture court where the performers are the sculptures.
