Join Krystal DiFronzo and Curator of Visual Arts Eileen Jeng Lynch for a conversation about DiFronzo’s installation in the Sunroom. They explore pharmakon, familial histories and healing methods, and stereotypical notions of health, care and emotional labor in DiFronzo’s work.

    Krystal DiFronzo

    Krystal DiFronzo is an artist and educator based in Ridgewood, Queens. They have had solo exhibitions at Hume, Chicago; Ballroom Projects, Chicago; and Dirt Palace in Providence, RI. Their work has been shown in group exhibitions at Western Exhibitions, Chicago; Field Projects and Perrotin Gallery (online), both in New York. They have participated in residencies at The Atlantic Center for the Arts and Lafayette College’s Experimental Printmaking Institute and recently received a Craft Fellowship through Bunker Projects in Pittsburgh, PA. DiFronzo earned a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and an MFA in Painting and Printmaking from Yale School of Art.

    Eileen Jeng Lynch

    Eileen Jeng Lynch is the Curator of Visual Arts at Wave Hill, where she creates exhibitions and programming that explore the intersections of nature, culture, and place, including commissioning artists on site-specific projects. Jeng Lynch organizes the Sunroom Project Space solo exhibitions for emerging artists, thematic shows in Glyndor Gallery, and the Winter Workspace program. She has served as a guest curator of exhibitions as well as on panels and juries for various organizations over the past 15 years. Previously, Jeng Lynch worked at RxArt, Sperone Westwater, and the Art Institute of Chicago in the Department of Contemporary Art. She received an MA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Syracuse University.
