Winter Haven Opening Weekend

Winter Haven returns this December to Wave Hill, inviting you to slow down and enjoy the quiet beauty of the garden. Join us Opening Weekend and shop our annual Artisan Market for thoughtful gifts from local artisans and makers! This Wave Hill tradition has grown too big for one house, so visit Wave Hill House as well as artisans in Glyndor Gallery. 

Craft a stunning, one-of-a-kind wreath in our artist-led workshops. Enjoy music, ice carving demonstrations, and the Family Art Project. Our animal sculpture friends return for the annual scavenger hunt across the grounds. 

On Saturday, December 5, the gardens remain open until 7:30PM. Stay late and watch the sunset. Toast winter with friends at our evening Sip & Craft Wreathmaking Workshop or Terrace Party with Bronx Beer Hall. 

Throughout December, gather with family and friends or simply savor the serenity of the garden. Self-guided amenities will be available all month including blankets and binoculars for loan from the Perkin’s Visitor Center, and educational materials on our Lower Lawn.
