Celebrate this special Mexican cultural holiday as we explore and create nicho boxes, small shadow boxes filled with meaning and purpose that honor a lost loved one.

On Saturday at 10:30AM and 11:30PM families can learn more about the holiday with a storytime program from our partners Literacy in Community in the Mark Twain Room, all ages welcome.

Literacy in Community works day in and day out throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx and Staten Island, to provide reading and learning opportunities for children so that they grow into competent readers, ready to succeed in school and in life.

Registration not required.

Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
