Admission to Wave Hill is free for EagleFest guests visiting our Spotting Station

2025 marks the 21st year of Teatown Hudson River EagleFest®, an annual celebration of bald eagle winter migration along the Hudson River.
This year Wave Hill is excited to host the only official EagleFest Spotting Site in NYC!
Join Hannah Kirshenbaum of NYC Queer Birders and other fellow birding enthusiasts on our Kate French Terrace where we'll keep our eyes on the skies for bald eagles and other birds of prey soaring along the river. Pop indoors to our warming station in Armor Hall for a hot cup of cocoa and to observe smaller birds at the birdfeeders right outside the windows.
Birders of all ages and skill levels are welcome! A limited number of monoculars and binoculars will be available to borrow at the Spotting Station. Pick up a special EagleFest passport and continue your birding journey north along the river to other viewing locations or to Croton Point Park for the main event.
Stop by the Shop to check out a selection of bird books, toys and gifts. The Cafe at Wave Hill is open all day for lunch, drinks and snacks for purchase.
The Wave Hill free shuttle is available hourly to and from the Riverdale Metro North station.
Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator. A ramp from The Café’s dining room brings visitors onto the Kate French Terrace.
About EagleFest at Croton Point Park:
The EagleFest main event takes place at Croton Point Park in Croton on Hudson. Hop on the train at Riverdale Station to Croton-Harmon; free shuttle buses run continuously from Croton-Harmon station to the event.
