Ice Carving Demonstration
Watch a pair of animals emerge from 300lb blocks of ice during a live ice carving demonstration with certified Master Ice Carver Rich Daly from Ice Memories. At the beginning of each session learn about the planning process for creating the sculptures and witness the animal sculptures come to life using a variety of hand and power tools. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask questions at the end. Sculptures will remain on view throughout the day.
The Great Lawn is a flat grassy area accessible via flat, paved paths.

Rich Daly and Ice Memories
Ice Memories, located in Mastic Beach, NY, provides ice sculptures and products to catering halls, private events, and winter festivals throughout Long Island and New York City. In addition, the team from Ice Memories travels to local and nationally sanctioned ice carving competitions. Over the last decade, Ice Memories has been recognized as one of the top ice carving companies in the United States through competition led by certified Master Ice Carver Rich Daly. Rich was the 2015 and 2016 US Grand National Ice Carving Champion. He has won 10 Gold Medals at the US National Championships and over 200 ice carving events across the United States. He has also twice been named the National Ice Carving Association’s Tour of Champions Champion, which is given to a professional ice carver with the highest competition average in the United States. On October 20, 2013, Rich became recognized by Guinness World Records as “The World’s Fastest Ice Carver” after carving 60 different ice sculptures in 2 hours 52 minutes and 12 seconds, smashing the old record of 4 hours 22 minutes and 55 seconds set back in 2002. The team of Ice Memories will be traveling once again this winter to attempt to add more titles to his extensive portfolio, while also providing the most breathtaking ice sculptures for events.
