When
Where
Meet behind Wave Hill House

In late summer, Wave Hill’s beehives are packed with around 50,000 honeybees and they are all, unsurprisingly, as busy as bees! View the comings and goings, at a respectful distance, while beekeepers Mufti Ahmed and Junior Schouten explain exactly what is happening inside. Questions welcomed! Rain cancels. Appropriate for adults and children ages eight and up with an adult companion. This event also takes place at 2PM. Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Weekend event.
Registration is not required. Bees, Butterflies & Blooms Weekend is a premium-admission weekend, with a $2 surcharge per visitor; there is no admission charge for children under six.
Questions? Please email us at information@wavehill.org or call 718.549.3200 x251.
The beehives are located on a grassy lawn with no shade on sunny days. There is no paved path to this location. Participants must navigate stairs and/or a grassy slope. Limited seating is available.
