Explore Wave Hill's gardens with Maggie McEvoy to discover our hidden plant gems and the interesting stories they tell. As you ramble along Wave Hill's garden paths, learn how some of our favorite plants and trees are connected to myth, legend, and lore.
Recommended for ages 10 and up, accompanied by an adult. Severe weather cancels.

Maggie McEvoy
Maggie McEvoy is a full-time gardener at Sleepy Cat Farm in Connecticut where she helps care for over 13 acres of private property. She got her start in horticulture as a John Nally Intern at Wave Hill in 2023. With a BA in creative writing, Maggie loves exploring the relationship between nature and literature. Some of her favorite plants include salvias, delphiniums, and digitalis.
