A kaleidoscope of colored leaves wave at visitors from the benches of the Tropical House. Join Gardener Shane Pritchett as he shares his favorite tropical plants and how he cares for them. This program offers an intimate experience and capacity will be strictly limited to allow all participants an enjoyable experience.

The Tropical House is only accessible via steps. Participants should expect to stand for the duration in this program. The Tropical House is quite warm and humid.

Shane Pritchett
Shane Pritchett has been gardening at Wave Hill for nine years and started as a John Nally Intern. As a Gardener, he designs and cares for the Tropical House, Pergola and Kate French Terrace displays; these garden areas are dominated by some of his favorite plant groups: annuals, biennials and tropicals. Shane holds two certificates from NYBG in plant production and botany.
