Winter Solstice Ball

Celebrate the longest night of the year with an enchanting evening of music, dancing, creativity, and joy! 

Gather for a festive night of revelry: don your winter finery, from elegant and glittering to woodland-inspired and whimsical, and experience the magic of the season. Enjoy live music and dancing in historic Armor Hall, wander the illuminated grounds, and delight in the sights, sounds, and spirit of the solstice with friends and family. 

Throughout the evening, the solstice inspires with themes of light and renewal. Create a luminous crown adorned with natural materials and fairy lights, craft a vision board for the year ahead, or make a paper lantern to add to a glowing winter walkway, celebrating the return of brighter days. 

The Café, Conservatory, and Shop are open until 7PM. The grounds close at 7:30PM. 

Advance registration is encouraged, online or by calling 718.549.3200 x251. Day-of registration based on availability and not guaranteed. 

Recommended for ages 12 and up. Ticket price includes music, materials for crowns, paper lanterns and vision board, and access to the grounds. Food and drinks are available for purchase from The Café. 

Wave Hill House and Armor Hall are wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
