Family Art Project: Winter Silhouettes

Meet at Wave Hill House
In honor of the winter solstice—the darkest night of the year—we’ll brighten things up by using lamps to create shadows of wintertime animals. By drawing their silhouettes, we will discover shapes and unique features that allow us to identify creatures from afar.
For Winter Solstice Weekend families can enjoy extended hours! Family Art Project will be open until 3PM on both Saturday and Sunday.
At 11:30PM and 2:00PM, families can enjoy storytime in the Gund Theater; all ages welcome.
Registration not required.
Wave Hill House is wheelchair-accessible. There is an accessible, ground-level entrance at the front of the building with a power-assist door. The restroom on the ground level is all-gender and ADA-compliant. Additional ADA-compliant restrooms are available on the lower level, which can be accessed by elevator.
