Winter Workspace 2027: Open Studios
The Winter Workspace is a six- to eight-week residency program that provides artists with free studio space, a financial stipend, and access to Wave Hill’s grounds, plant collection, nature and art libraries, as well as its curatorial and horticultural staff. Artists also have opportunities to engage with visitors through public programs. In addition, the curatorial staff invites arts professionals—including curators, critics, and gallerists—to visit residents in their studios. Since 2010, the Winter Workspace has supported over 180 artists.
During this Open Studios event, meet artists participating in the Winter Workspace and see what they've been working on over the course of their residency. Visitors can learn about the artists' practice, sources, and materials. Explore each artist studio, see new and in-process work inspired by Wave Hill and created on site, and meet other art-lovers. This event is family-friendly, and we welcome visitors of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to attend.
